High Window Cleaning in Austin
The windows that make a house look cared for are usually the ones nobody can reach. Stairwell glass, gable ends and atrium panes in Austin are what this page is about.

How we reach it
Water-fed poles handle most elevations from the ground, which is safer and faster than putting a ladder on a slope. Where a pole cannot get the angle we use properly footed ladders. We do not walk on tile roofs, and we will say so rather than risk breaking tiles.

What's included
- Second and third-story exterior glass
- Tall entryway, stairwell and transom windows
- Water-fed pole cleaning for high exterior panes
- Interior high glass from professional ladders
The glass people forget
Stairwell windows, the pane above a front door, gable triangles and clerestory strips. They are rarely cleaned, so the first visit usually takes longer than the ones after it.
What Austin glass is up against
Central Austin homes tend to have older timber sashes with many small panes, which are slow to do properly. West Austin and the Four Points side lean towards large modern openings, where the only thing that matters is a finish with no streaks in low sun.
- Hard city water
- Austin tap water leaves mineral spotting if windows are rinsed with a hose. We use de-ionised water so nothing is left behind.
- Oak pollen in spring
- Live oak pollen settles in a thick yellow film across central Austin every spring, then streaks the moment it rains.
What we will not do
Rope access and true high-rise work is a different trade with different equipment. Up to three storeys from the ground is our limit, and we would rather turn a job down than take one we are not set up for.
Working in Austin
Austin glass is not all the same job. The older streets around Tarrytown and Clarksville are full of divided-light sashes that have to be detailed by hand, pane by pane. Out towards Four Points and Steiner Ranch the houses are newer and taller, with big single sheets that show every streak. We price the two differently because they take different amounts of time, and we will tell you which one you have when we look at the house.
What it costs
High work in Austin is priced on access rather than the number of panes. A pole from level ground is quick. A ladder on a terraced garden is not, and we will show you the difference when we quote.

High Window Cleaning in Austin — common questions
Can you reach second and third storey windows?
Yes, up to three storeys from the ground using water-fed poles and properly footed ladders.
Do you need scaffolding?
No. Poles reach most elevations without it, which keeps the cost down and the garden undisturbed.
Will you walk on my roof?
No. We do not walk tile roofs. If a window can only be reached that way we will tell you rather than risk damage.
Is the first high clean more expensive?
It can take longer if the glass has not been done in years, and we will say so when we quote rather than afterwards.
Do you do high-rise or rope access?
No. That is a different trade. Up to three storeys from the ground is what we are equipped for.
Do you cover my street in Austin?
We work across Austin regularly, including Clarksville, Barton Hills, Zilker and the surrounding streets. Call or text (512) 200-2160 with your address and we will confirm straight away.
