Glass Cleaning in Rollingwood
Plenty of the glass in a Rollingwood home is not a window. Mirrors, internal partitions, shelving and cabinet fronts all show marks and are all easy to miss. Here is what we include.

Glass that is not a window
Full-height mirrors, bathroom mirrors, internal partitions, glass shelving, cabinet doors and display cases. All of it is hand-cleaned with the edges detailed, because every one of these is looked at close up.

What's included
- Sliding, French and steel-frame glass doors
- Mirrors of all sizes
- Shower glass and enclosures, including soap scum and water spots
- Glass railings and balcony panels
- Cabinet and display glass
Mirrors need a different touch
A mirror shows every smear because the light comes back through it twice. They are done with a drier cloth and finished by hand rather than being wet-washed like a window.
What Rollingwood glass is up against
Older divided-light sashes on the original parts of the house, alongside modern sliding and picture glass on additions. The old sashes are slow work because every small pane is detailed by hand.
- Divided-light sashes
- Original mid-century windows have many small panes per sash. They cannot be squeegeed quickly and need hand detailing, pane by pane.
- Heavy tree cover
- Rollingwood's canopy is among the densest in the area, which means constant leaf litter, sap and a shaded damp that grows film on north elevations.
Adding it to a window visit
It is quicker and cheaper as part of a visit we are already making. Point out what you want included when we quote and it goes on the same price.
Working in Rollingwood
Rollingwood is mostly mid-century houses on wooded lots, many of them extended rather than rebuilt. That means a mix of original timber sashes and newer glazed additions on the same house, which take different handling. The streets are narrow and the lots are tight, so we park once and carry in rather than moving the van around.
What it costs
We do not price Rollingwood work from a table. We look at the property, count the glass, check the access, then give you a written price with no obligation. Your card is charged after the work is done, not before.
